About Joe
Joe Grieco is an established, professional piano player and vocalist who has been performing live, solo and with both local and national acts, for over 35 years. Joe is known for being a founding member and musical director of the Southeastern Connecticut based event band, The Cartells.
Joe has also developed musical scores and provided vocals for television documentaries and radio/television commercials for clients including CPTV, Smilow Cancer Hospital, Subway, Army National Guard and Columbia Dental. Joe performs over 250 shows a year, from solo piano at private parties to performing on stage at The Katherine Hepburn Cultural Center. He has also played at The Plaza Hotel in NYC, The Metropolitan Room in the Flatiron District, The Mohegan Sun Casino, and Max Downtown in Hartford just to name a few. In addition to recording his own albums, Joe has also sang and played keyboard on recordings of Phoebe Snow and Al Anderson amongst others.
Joe plays regularly at many local South Eastern Connecticut establishments such as The Steak Loft and The Harbour House both located in scenic Mystic, 2 Hopewell in Glastonbury, Filomena’s in Waterford, The KnickerBocker in downtown Westerly and Maugle Sierra Vineyard in Ledyard. During the summer months, Joe and The Cartell Trio can be found on Monday nights playing for the crowd overlooking the water at Fresh Salt, located dockside at The Saybrook Point Inn and Spa.
